FORMAT 24-17: A New Television Conference
21st November 2017
FORMAT 24-17 is a brand new one day television conference, presented by Grand Scheme Media and supported by BBC, Channel 4 and Channel 5 via the TV Skills Fund designed to encourage a new wave of UK format development. But it's not just for TV people - it is open to anyone interested in creating a format.
Many good new ideas come from people working outside the industry as well as from the brilliant creatives working in development or production. This conference offers great guidance on how to get ideas to the right people, the pitfalls to avoid in devising shows, the importance of development and the key factors in creating international hits.
- Are you ready to meet consumer demands in the multi-platform world?
- Do you want to learn about the skills needed to work in development?
- Do you want to hear what key commissioners are looking for?
Join us on 30 November at the Royal Festival Hall in London where television development teams, producers, students, executives and freelancers will all gather for this new event in the television calendar. We are delighted to announce a stellar line-up of talents, including Claudia Rosencrantz (former ITV), Kate Phillips (BBC Entertainment), Rob Clark (FremantleMedia), Sarah Edwards (Sony), David Young (Hindsight), Josh Wilson (Wilson Worldwide), Mob Dar (Nit), Duncan Gray (TwentySix03), David G Croft (NFTS), Karen Smith (Tuesday's Child), Sam Pollard (Dr. Pluto), Andy Culpin (12 Yard), David Ciaramella (K7 Media), Jayne Stanger (BBC Worldwide), Bill Hobbins (Sky).
There will be case studies on Britain’s best TV shows. Find out how "Britain's Got Talent" took over the world and what it is that has made Saturday night singing shows such a sensation. Across three spaces at this prestigious venue, FORMAT 24-17 will build on Britain’s status as a TV powerhouse as we share opinions, views and stories in an informal and collaborative atmosphere.
The event has now closed.
