Congratulations to the winners of the National Television Awards

Productions and broadcasters that support ScreenSkills have won awards at the 24th annual National Television Awards. Winners of the awards, which were presented in the 02 Arena in London, were chosen by millions of voters across Britain.

The ScreenSkills Television Skills Fund is able to invest in training for the freelance television workforce, thanks to contributions from BBC, Channel 4 and Channel 5. With many productions in the running for honours, including The Great British Bake Off and Ambulance, the three broadcasters were well-represented at the ceremony. Strictly Come Dancing went home with the award for best talent show.

Productions that support ScreenSkills work by paying into the High-end TV Skills Fund were also victorious. Bodyguard triumphed over Killing Eve and The Cry - both of which also contributed - to win the award for best new drama. Its leading actor Richard Madden won in the category best drama performance. Peaky Blinders claimed the award for best drama, defeating fellow fund contributors Call the Midwife, Doctor Who and Our Girl.

We would like to congratulate all the nominees and winners who have worked with us to support training in the industry.
