ScreenSkills would like to invite you to the London Skills Forecasting roadshow on Thursday 6 December.
This event is to explain ScreenSkills new Skills Forecasting Service and to share the findings of its first Quarterly ScreenSkills Barometer with you.
The Quarterly ScreenSkills Barometer is one of the three research strands of the Skills Forecasting Service (SFS), an in-depth research project intended to provide comprehensive UK-wide data on screen industry skills, including current and emerging skills gaps. The SFS, developed in partnership with the Work Foundation, is an integral part of ScreenSkills’ strategy and a key delivery objective of the BFI Future Skills Action Plan.
The purpose of the Barometer is to gather regular recruitment and skills information about the screen industries, covering topics such as business activity, recruitment challenges, skills gaps and training provision. The analysis covers the following sectors:
- High-end TV
- Unscripted TV
- Children’s TV
Speakers at the session are Gareth Ellis-Unwin; Head of Film at ScreenSkills, Caterina Branzanti; Head of Research at ScreenSkills and Heather Carey; Deputy Director at the Work Foundation. Registration is from 10am at the Work Foundation, 21 Palmer St, Westminster, London SW1H 0AD.
