As technology, economy and audience viewing habits rapidly change, so too does the culture of work in the screen industries. Looking ahead to the next five years, what skills and jobs will be most needed for businesses to do their best, and where will these jobs be in short supply?

In August 2019, ScreenSkills commissioned Nordicity and Saffery Champness to prepare a long-term analysis to forecast business activity, skills shortages, and provide an estimation of training investment. Join us as we present our findings.

What you will learn:

  • Forecast of business activity in the various segments of the screen industries for the period 2020-2025, based on industry revenue or production expenditures.
  • The magnitude of current skills shortages on a role-by-role basis and how the magnitude of these shortages may grow or contract between 2020 and 2025.
  • Estimation of the training investment that would be required to eliminate the forecast skills shortages.
