Looking to embark on your career in film? Open Doors aims to connect local talent with film opportunities - plus find out about our Film Trainee Finder Scheme and upcoming boot camps.

Open Doors is a series of events for anyone curious about starting a career in film. Come along and:

  • Meet people from the film industry in your local area
  • Hear their stories and get practical advice for getting started in the industry
  • Network with industry professionals and your own creative peers

Join us at the MAC to hear about jobs behind the camera from a line-up of film industry experts. You’ll meet the speakers in round-table groups of 10 or less, followed by an open networking session.

You can also chat to the ScreenSkills team about Trainee Finder, a scheme that places new talent on paid traineeships with UK films and TV shows like Wonder Woman, Game of Thrones and Peaky Blinders, and get some inside advice before applications open in November.

We'll also be talking about our regional film boot camps and how they can help you launch your career in film.

A one-day boot camp will be taking place in Belfast on November 9, run by Cinemagic. The boot camp programme is aimed at new entrants aged 18+ and will include masterclasses, seminars and Q&A’s with industry professionals.

We will announce the full line up of Open Doors: Belfast speakers in the next coming weeks.

Tickets include free pizza! Don't miss out! #OpenDoorsCareers
