Film London and Escape Studios, in association with Universities UK, invite you to attend Mend The Gap: An evening of discussion and debate around the current animation training and employment landscape. BOOK NOW
UK universities produce 600 animation graduates every year, yet there is a perceived skills gap within the animation industry and a shortage of home-grown talent.
Join us as we bring together a panel of experts from industry and academia to discuss the current landscape and address such questions as:
- What changes need to be made? Industry expectations or academic qualifications?
- How far apart are animation training and industry needs?
- Can the gap be bridged and if so who needs to listen to who?
There will be a 6.30pm panel discussion chaired by Adrian Wootton OBE, CEO Film London & The British Film Commission followed by a drinks reception.
