The making of... is a strand of masterclasses that goes behind the scenes of some of Britain’s most popular and critically acclaimed tv series. Two of the programme’s key producers will discuss the mechanics of making the series plus some of the challenges they had to face along the way. Time will be allowed for audience questions, so you will get to ask the makers of some of your favourite programmes exactly how they did it.
This session looks at the making of ITVBe's The Only Way is Essex with Cheryl Price and Luke McFarlane.
Cheryl Price began her career in television nearly 25 years ago on daytime talk shows including Trisha and Jerry Springer UK. Throughout her career she has worked on a variety of programming from Cilla Black’s Blind Date to Jodie Marsh documentaries. Cheryl spent over 10 years exec’ing Britain’s Next Top Model and has been executive producer on The Only Way is Essex for 2 years.
Luke Mcfarlane began his career working at Granada TV in Manchester in live studio programming. He moved into reality TV in 2005 working on shows such as Big Brother, Britain's Next Top Model, Wags' Boutique, Celebs Go Dating as well as working on TOWIE on and off for the last six and a half years as series and executive producer.
