Lunch with a Commissioner: Louisa Compton, Head of News and Current Affairs, C4

  • When: 27th May 2020, 13:00-14:00
  • Organised by: ScreenSkills
  • Location: Online
  • Price: Free
  • Age: 18+

Grab your homemade sandwich of choice and get ready to dine with a different commissioner every day. At 1pm from Monday to Friday, participants will be able to join a commissioner and listen to their insights as well as ask questions at the end of the hour.

These are great sessions for our freelance community who don’t normally get the opportunity to chat to commissioners. So, if you’re a head honcho who normally has all the commissioners on speed-dial this session isn’t for you! Please keep this in mind when booking. Thanks for your support and understanding.

Louisa Compton is the Head of Channel 4’s multiple-award winning News and Current Affairs and Sport departments at Channel 4. She has overseen Dispatches, setting the news agenda with critically-acclaimed investigative films such as Celebs for Sale: The Great Charity Scandal, Trump’s Plans for the NHS, Starbucks and Nespresso: The Truth About Your Coffee, and Growing Up Poor: Britain’s Breadline Kids. Last year she was responsible for Channel 4’s coverage of the General Election and more recently she has led the Current Affairs department’s response to the Coronavirus pandemic, commissioning a number of fast-turnaround programmes looking at the crisis in depth.

CHAIR: Fatima Salaria, Head of Specialist Factual at C4
