The natural history genre is on the rise – with every major broadcaster wanting a piece of the action. In this session Doug Mackay-Hope an executive producer at the BBC Natural History Unit and former head of the development team. In this session he talks and takes questions about how and why this phenomenon is happening, what the future holds and how you can get involved in this exciting television genre.
Doug Mackay-Hope's credits include Deadly 60, Big Blue Live and has over 100 other television credits to his name. He has worked across the board including children’s TV, all major American Broadcasters as well the UK terrestrial channels, including BBC One and Two.
This event is supported by the ScreenSkills Television Skills Fund which invests in training for the freelance television workforce thanks to contributions from the BBC, Channel 4 and Channel 5.
