This event is for freelance animation professionals already working on animated series and films based in the UK.
Remote working is the new normal, and for you as a freelance animation professional, it may be the old normal too! But the animation productions on which you work are adapting to workflows and production pipelines without the security blanket of a studio environment. In response to the needs of productions and freelance professionals who have had to react swiftly to lockdown life and launch new ways of working, ScreenSkills are providing this 1 hour session to support your ability to clarify and translate the feedback you both give, and receive, in these strangest of times.
You may have found that the amount of feedback you receive from Production has either dried up completely or is coming in at a rate you’ve never experienced. It is important to remember, that whilst productions adapt, they are also dealing with the technical and very human obstacles that work-from-home and the pandemic itself manifests and magnifies.
Kate Lander is an independent development coach, learning and development advisor in animation/TV/Film, and a Member of our Animation Skills Council. During the session, she will give you some clear guidance on how to approach feedback, encouraging more if needed, pushing back, and ensuring clear notes are shared so that you can continue to do what you do best.
This session will be repeated on Tuesday 9th June.
This event is supported by the ScreenSkills Animation Skills Fund with contributions from UK animation productions.
This session will take place online via Zoom. Click ‘get ticket’ to reserve your place: you must login or register before you are able to get a ticket for this event. Before the start of the session, a joining link will be sent to you via email.
