Transferable skills and how to find them
It can be really difficult to work out what you are good at. When you are applying for jobs, looking at job descriptions or writing a CV or an online profile, there are frequent mentions of “skills”; transferable skills, skills gaps, basic skills, core skills and craft skills. What does it all mean?
Whether you're in education, just leaving, or starting out in a job this session will help you to identify the skills you have, exactly what is meant by transferable skills, and how to use that knowledge to find which roles in screen are right for you.
The session will take place online via Zoom. If you haven’t used Zoom before, please download it to your device (ideally on a laptop) in advance of the session. You can download it for free.
We will start promptly at 11am so we recommend that you sign in at 10.50am so you can test your equipment and we can admit you into the session on time.
Click ‘get ticket’ to reserve your place: you must login or create an account on the ScreenSkills website before you are able to get a ticket for this event. A booking confirmation with a joining link to the session will be sent to you via email.
If you have any questions about this session, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
