Milana will discuss how she built a successful female-led production studio in a male dominated industry, and the ways in which she champions an innovative and forward-thinking company culture by focusing on empowering and nurturing female talent and talent from non-traditional backgrounds. Milana will be in conversation with Abigail Addison, ScreenSkills Animation Production Liaison Executive.
With over 15 years experience in animation and production, Milana Karaica founded creative studio NERD Productions in 2016. The studio represents global talent and is continuously challenging their clients and the industry to further push and expand creative boundaries. Milana has executively produced projects ranging from TVCs to online film and other moving image projects. Heavily involved in all aspects of production in animation, character development and creative conception, Milana is used to working with a highly talented, award-winning and dedicated team of directors, designers and illustrators as well as nurturing and supporting up and coming talent to help shape their careers and make the creative industry more inclusive & diverse. Milana is an active and passionate cultural diversity and equality advocate.
