Do you work in finance in Manchester, Leeds or Bristol and love television? Would you like to join the growing and dynamic world of TV drama production in your area?

The ScreenSkills HETV Accounts Industry Transfer Programme is a free intensive training scheme seeking out talented staff who can fill a skills shortage in TV production in your area, supported by the ScreenSkills High-end TV Skills Fund with contributions from UK high-end TV productions.

Shows like Peaky Blinders, Victoria and Poldark have been filmed in and around Manchester, Leeds and Bristol respectively, and demand is high in the local industry for your skills.

Participants will get extensive Zoom training sessions with a leading industry accountant as well as an industry overview, interview tips and more.

You can also apply for one of 12 paid placements on local productions that will last 14 weeks.

The course runs this November and there are 20 places available for candidates who live within a commutable distance to the production hubs of Manchester, Leeds or Bristol.

So whether you are keen to change tack in your career or are returning to work after a break, apply now. The deadline is midnight on Friday 23 October 2020.

Who it's for

We want to hear from accounts workers with at least one year’s paid experience in a responsible finance position, living within commuting distance of Manchester, Leeds or Bristol.

You’ll need to convince us you are serious about a career in television accounts and be available for a 14-week paid placement after the course, if you successfully apply for one.

Candidates will be keen to develop their skills to transition into high-end television. Although your first position in the industry might be relatively junior, hard work and drive are quickly and richly rewarded in this sector.

This is one of a range of initiatives aimed at recruiting new entrants and encouraging a more diverse workforce, including those returning to the industry after a career break.
