This Covid-19 production risk awareness – Intermediate Level - course is designed to provide delegates with an understanding of the current risk management protocols in respect of Covid-19 and production.

It will help inform a detailed and specific production Covid-19 risk assessment, in line with broader health & safety legal requirements and best practice. It will include a template Covid–19 production risk assessment which delegates can use within their own organisations.

This 2-hour interactive session will be delivered online utilising multimedia presentation, review of real life control strategies currently being used on production, group participation and discussion.

Who it's for

This training is for individual production staff enrolled to assist in delivering Covid-19 health & safety arrangements on productions, designated as Covid ‘Marshall’, ‘Coordinator’ or ‘Monitor’.

Senior production staff at HOD, 1st AD level or above with at least 5 years experience and designated as the person on production with responsibility and authority for implementing, monitoring and overseeing Covid-19 arrangements should apply for the advanced level course.

A ScreenSkills Coronavirus basic awareness on production certificate is  a prerequisite for this course. Candidates should have at least 2 years’ experience on a set of a professional scripted production.

This session focuses on the practical aspects of safely managing Covid-19 risks on a production. In particular it will cover the recommended protocols and arrangements for the following: 

  • Covid-19 and transmission
  • risk assessment
  • crewing levels
  • travel to and from production
  • temporary accommodation
  • health declarations
  • testing
  • physical separation
  • hygiene
  • personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • catering and eating arrangements
  • on-site support for productions
  • template Covid-19 production risk assessment
