Leadership and management essentials for people working in HETV post and VFX
The scale and volume of today's TV drama productions mean that heads of department (HoDs)s are increasingly required to run larger teams and manage staff. Are they really getting the best from their teams, and addressing underperformance? Do they know how to deal with allegations of harassment or bullying? Or how to crew up effectively – and improve the diversity of productions while staying within the law?
This course will take place over five days from Monday 11th to Friday 15th January 2021 at 10am until 11.30am each day.
Who it's for
This is a bespoke course owned by ScreenSkills High-end Television Skills Fund and is for heads of department and managers working in post and VFX on high-end TV productions
What it covers
The course was designed by industry trainer Addie Orfila and is delivered by a team of experienced production executives and executive coaches who will teach managers how to motivate and get the best out of their creative teams by covering the following topics:
Course modules will cover:
- people management and team performance
- personality styles
- dealing with bullying and harassment
- unconscious bias
- crewing up and improving the diversity of productions
- understanding the key HR essentials including discrimination and dismissal
This course will take place over five days from Monday 11th to Friday 15th January 2021 at 10am until 11.30am each day.
You must be able to commit to all five sessions.
