Fair Recruitment and Inclusivity in the Workplace Training
Designed to follow on from ScreenSkills’ online Fair Recruitment and Inclusivity in the Workplace e-learning module (currently in development) this course, aimed at HODs and other industry professionals with hiring responsibilities, will offer an in-depth look at current and traditional recruitment practices and their varying impacts on diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
Participants will then learn how they can implement fairer, more robustly meritocratic recruitment policies in their own organisations, and help to build a better future for the industry as a whole.
This initiative is funded using National Lottery funds awarded to ScreenSkills by the British Film institute as part of the Future Film Skills strategy.
Who it's for
Suitable for HOD’s and anyone working within the screen industries with hiring responsibilities. This training equips attendees with vital skills and tools to enable them to recruit in a fair and inclusive way.
Training sessions will take place via Zoom. Sessions are for a maximum of 35 participants and tickets for each session will be released one month ahead and will be offered on a first come, first served basis. What it covers
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Explain the shortcomings of traditional recruitment practices in the establishment of fair and inclusive workplaces.
- Analyse the recruitment practices in their own organisations.
- Implement positive change to ensure fairer recruitment.
- Recognise and address exclusivity in their own workplaces
N.B all participants are required to take the ScreenSkills’ Inclusive recruitment Basic awareness e-learning module ahead of the session.
