Talent managers - are you looking to engage with disabled talent to work on your production? Want to be more confident when discussing disability with potential hires? Want to know your company's obligations are with reasonable adjustments? Do you understand how Access to Work can transform your employees' working lives?

If you are looking to increase your knowledge and expertise we’ll provide tailored information, expertise and practical advice as well as post-workshop support for participants.

This session is ONLY open to individuals working in scripted and unscripted television with hiring responsibilities.

The course covers:

Attracting disabled talent - getting your outreach right

Understanding reasonable adjustments and how to make them

How Access to Work helps disabled employees

Language & How to get it right

It will include interactive elements where you will be split into smaller groups to work in break out rooms.

This session is supported by the HETV Skills Fund with contributions from UK high-end TV productions, and by the Television Skills Fund which invests in training for the unscripted freelance television workforce thanks to contributions from the BBC, Channel 4, ITV, and Channel 5.

It is part of a ScreenSkills programme to support freelancers to upskill and stay connected, helping keep the industry resilient in these difficult times.

This session will take place online via Zoom. Click ‘get ticket’ to reserve your place: you must login or register before you are able to get a ticket for this event. A booking confirmation with a joining link to the session will be sent to you via email.

If you are no longer able to use your ticket, we ask you to please contact support@screenskills.com so that we can release your place. Our sessions are often oversubscribed, so we’d like to give others the opportunity to fill available spots. Thank you for your consideration.
