Do you need help managing your finances? Not sure what help is available to support you through this?

The Business Toolkit for film and HETV freelancers workshop is here to answer your questions and give you the tools to ensure you plan for a successful career in the film and TV industry.

The course offers a holistic approach helping you manage your concerns and fears about finance, your career and finding a work/life balance. It is delivered as a partnership between thinkBIGGER! Ltd and David Thomas Media Limited and will be delivered online via Zoom.

Who it's for

This  workshop is for experienced talent struggling with sole trader vs limited status, freelancers struggling to plan their finances, or those in the early stages of their career who want to put their best foot forward.

Applicants must clearly demonstrate that they currently work in film or high-end television (scripted) or have an ambition to work.

This course is best suited to those who have already started their career in television or film so is not suited to students.

If you are a ScreenSkills Trainee Finder trainee you are not eligible as this training is delivered as part of your training programme.

This course will cover:

  • understanding tax and NI
  • budgeting and keeping on top of record keeping
