Virtual production case studies for high-end TV: Happy Valley 3 and Good Omens 2

In this online webinar, Emily Gunn from the High-end TV Skills Fund team introduces Michael Adefehinti who will be discussing the high-end TV productions Happy Valley 3 and Good Omens 2 with other talented speakers.

Happy Valley 3 and Good Omens 2 were two productions that paid into the High-end TV Skills Fund. Both productions had High-end TV trainees on their series, in addition to Make a Movers stepping up in their careers.

In this webinar, Emily Gunn, who manages the virtual production training supported by the High-end TV Skills Fund, introduces Virtual Production specialist Michael Adefehinti to interview freelancers on both these productions and discuss the rise of virtual production and how they used the scenes for their shows.

Topics in this webinar include what virtual production is, the benefits and challenges of using it for a television production, scenes used in Happy Valley 3 and Good Omens 2, where the technology is leading us, roles available in the industry for high-end TV freelancers and training available in virtual production.

The webinar is chaired by Michael Adefehinti, a creative technologist, Real-time Game Engine specialist, and one of Framesync’s co-founders. Speakers include Chris Cox, Head of VP and Real Time Solutions VSS - Video Screen Services, Johann Perry who is a cinematographer working on dramas such as Happy Valley 3, and Ashley Mayse an Emmy-nominated VFX producer on Good Omens 2.
